WORLD IN FOCUS – SK17 0LL

From the North – M6
Get off the M6 at Jn 17. Head towards Congleton along the A534. Go through Congleton following signs for A54 Buxton. Take the A54 towards Buxton until you come to a big crossroads where you take a right along the A523 towards Leek. Once in Leek, follow signs for A53 and take the A53 towards Buxton. Head along this road for approx 4 miles until you come to the Winking Man pub. Just after the pub, take a right turn signposted Longnor. When you get into Longnor, you will come to a crossroads. Take a right turn towards Warslow and head down this road (B5053) for approx 2 miles and then take a right hand turn towards Reapsmoor and Leek.

From the South – M6
Get off the M6 at Jn 15. Head towards Uttoxeter on the A50. From the A50, head towards Leek on the A520. When you get into Leek, travel towards Buxton on the A53. Now follow directions as for ‘From the North – M6‘.

From the South – M1
Get off the M1 at Jn 23a. Head along the A50 towards Stoke On Trent and after about 20-25 miles, take the A515 towards Ashbourne. Head through Ashbourne taking the A515 towards Buxton. Head along this road for about 10 miles until you see the signs for Hartington B5054 (on your left). Head through Hartington, then through Hulme End and then for about 4 miles until you come to a T junction. Turn right taking the B5053 towards Longnor. A mile or so down the B5053 take a 2nd left signposted Reapsmoor and Leek. Follow ‘Reapsmoor and Leek‘ directions above.

From the North – M1
Get off the M1 at Jn 29. Head towards Chesterfield on the A617. Once in Chesterfield, follow signs for Buxton (A619). Take the A6020 towards Buxton and then pick up the A6 towards Buxton. Stay on the A6 for approx 10 miles until you see signs for the A5270 on your left. Take this turning towards Chelmorton. Go all the way down the A5270 until you reach a T junction. You will do a dog leg by turning right and then an immediate left onto the B5053 towards Longnor. Head into Longnor (about 4 miles) and then straight through the village towards Warslow. About 2 miles past Longnor, take a right turning signposted ‘Reapsmoor and Leek’ and then follow  ‘Reapsmoor and Leek‘ directions above.

From Macclesfield
Come across the Macclesfild to Buxton road (Cat and Fiddle route). When you get to the T junction at the end, turn right towards Leek (A53). Then take an immediate left towards Harpur Hill. Carry on for about 3 miles until you reach a T- junction. Turn right at this T junction and follow through Harpur Hill. Carry on until you reach another T junction where you turn right towards Longnor, pass through Longnor village and carry on for approx 2 miles taking the 2nd turning on the right towards Reapsmoor and Leek. Follow ‘Reapsmoor and Leek‘ directions above.

From Buxton
From Buxton, take the A515 towards Ashbourne. 3-4 miles along this road, take the B5053 (right turn) towards Longnor. Go straight through Longnor towards Warslow. Ignore the right turning towards Newtown and take the second turning towards Reapsmoor and Leek (2 miles from Longnor).  Follow ‘Reapsmoor and Leek‘ directions above.
