Private Photographic Tuition
At World In Focus we offer a variety of options when it comes to tailoring your perfect Private Photography Course. We offer sessions from 1 hour in length, with the longest Private Tuition so far being three weeks in duration. Private also does not mean you have to ‘go it alone’, bring a friend, or few to enjoy the fun.
What We Offer
Camera Use Tuition
You will meet at The Spout Farmhouse Studio where you will meet your tutor Simon Watkinson. Simon will create the ultimate learning experience tailored exactly to your needs. You can choose to incorporate a Sunrise or a Sunset into your day or if you wish, you can take the standard 10am start. All full days regardless of start time are 7 hours in length.
Digital Imaging Tuition
You will meet at The Spout Farmhouse Studio for 10am where you will meet your tutor for the course, Simon Watkinson. Over a cup of tea or coffee Simon will assess your current knowledge level, and understand from you areas you want to work on. From this initial briefing and assessment Simon will create the ultimate learning experience tailored exactly to your needs. You can work on Lightroom, Photoshop or a bit of both.
Online Photography/Digital Tuition
Need some help, but don’t want to travel? We can help from the comfort of your own home. Bookings are for a minimum of two hours, using Zoom and can be on anything you feel you need help with.
What You Can Expect
Generally we start our private photography tuition days at 10:00am. The exception to this is if you have booked to incorporate a sunrise or sunset shoot, or have in fact booked a half day one to one photography tuition programme starting in the afternoon. We always email a confirmation of booking to our clients when they have booked a workshop with us, this information dossier will confirm your course start time(s).
Most courses will start with a tea or coffee and a discussion to further clarify what you want out of your day- the exception being when booking a sunrise shoot, where you will get straight out on to location.
Our half day courses last around 3.5 hours and full days last around 7 hours in duration. A stop for lunch at a Country Pub will be included for those who have booked a full day, although lunchtime drinks are not included in the price.
Our private photography tuition sessions have no set format, as each individuals needs are so different. Therefore no two sessions are ever exactly the same. We tailor the workshop to exactly what you want and need and structure the day around these needs. Simon will ensure that you remain challenged enough, whilst being able to retain the information; and ensure there are no gaps in your knowledge. The vast majority of our clients have the “ah ha!” moment during the workshop, when information suddenly clicks into place and makes sense.
